Dayananda Sagar University is a private university, situated in Bangalore. It was established in the year 2014 and is a component of the Dayananda Sagar Institutions founded in the 1960s by the visionary educationist late Sri Dayananda Sagar. The university is managed by the Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peeth Trust in Bengaluru. Dayananda Sagar University is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited with the NAAC “A” grade. The institution came in first place at the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) India Regional Finals and is placed fourth among new universities by the Karnataka Rating Framework (KSURF). The "Best Private University South Award" has also been given to DSU by ASSOCHAM. 

Dayananda Sagar University courses are offered a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in technology, pharmacy, management, computer applications, sciences, the arts, and physiotherapy. DSU also provides a PhD in Research. The university offers admission based on performance in qualifying exams or through entrance tests. The six schools that make up the university are as follows:

The Dayananda Sagar University admissions to various courses are offered on the basis of entrance exams as well as merit. Some UG and PG admissions like B.Tech, M.Tech & MBA are offered on the basis of entrance exam scores like CET/COMEDK, MAT, CAT, GATE and others. Dayananda Sagar University offers a variety of scholarships to students based on their qualifications, disability, and categories, as well as several government-sponsored programs:

• A DSU Foundation Scholarship: This scholarship covers free meals and housing on campus. It also includes costs such as books, sports activities, etc. Dispensation from the university's tuition fees is also included.
• Post-Matric Scholarship: Post-Matric Scholarships are provided to students who have not received less than 50% or a comparable grade in the most recent final test. The income of the guardian/parent should not exceed INR 2 lakh per year.
• Disabled student scholarships: Scholarships are awarded to students with a disability of at least 40%. Aside from that, kids should attend a government or CBSE school in class 9 or 10.
• Scholarships for students from underrepresented groups
• Jindal Scholarship: Applicants must be in grades 11 and 12. For this scholarship, the candidate must have received a minimum of 60 per cent on the most recent final examination.

Eligibility Criteria for DSU Scholarships

The following are the Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru scholarships available, along with their qualifying requirements and the number of available scholarships:

• Students enrolled in DSU PU Institutions' UG programs are eligible for a 25% discount throughout the program.
• Students entering PG programs with a UG diploma from DSU PU Institutions are eligible for a 25% scholarship throughout the program.
• Alumni-funded college students are eligible for a 10% scholarship throughout the program.
• Children of alumni (Indian nationals) are eligible for a 10% scholarship throughout the program.
• Children of alumni (NRI/ foreign nationals) are eligible for a 10% scholarship for the first year.

How to Apply for the Jindal Scholarship?

The application can be downloaded from the Jindal Foundation website and sent to the Jindal Foundation office, along with the appropriate documentation and a signature from the institute's head.

Both the offline and online versions of the Jindal scholarship application are available. To apply for the Jindal scholarship, follow the steps outlined below.

Step 1: Go to the Sitaram Jindal Scholarship's official website.

Step 2: To apply for a scholarship, go to the website's home page and click "Apply for Scholarships."

Step 3: From the drop-down box on the Dayananda Sagar University page, select "Download Application and Annexures." A PDF of the application form will be opened in a new tab. Print off the PDF.

Step 4: Carefully fill out the application form with all of the requested information, such as your name, nationality, date of birth, address, and father's name. Double-check all of the information you've entered on the website page.

Step 5: Send the completed form to the foundation's address.

When sending their application form to Sitaram Jindal Foundation administrators, all candidates must include some essential documents.

1. A photocopy of the last exam's mark sheet.
2. A photocopy of your SSLC/HSC mark sheet. (Any other proof of date of birth must be submitted if it does not contain the date of birth.)
3. For Category A and B, i.e., PUC and ITI students, applicants must produce a photocopy of their income certificate, as well as a photocopy of their BPL card or Income Certificate for the scholarship. For category C, D, and E students, i.e., graduate, postgraduate, diploma, engineering, and medical students, photocopies of the Income Certificate issued by the appropriate agencies as mentioned by the respective State Governments must be submitted. At the time of application, the Income Certificate must be less than four years old. Furthermore, orphans do not need to present an income certificate; instead, they must submit a death certificate for their parents.
4. Annual Fees Certificate (Annexure-VIII).
5. Certificate of admission under the government merit quota (in the case of B. Sc (Ag), B. Sc (Forestry), BVSC, Diploma, Engineering, Medical, and MBA students) as per Annexure-VII.
6. A certificate from the warden or the owner of private accommodation, if appropriate, for hostellers, as per Annexure-IV or Annexure-IX.
7. A certificate from the competent authority for the physically impaired.
8. PPO, Ex-servicemen Widow I-Card, and Relationship Dependency Certificate for widows and ex-servicemen.
